CARLOS SANCHEZ MD

I earned my medical degree from Universidad de La Sabana in Bogotá, Colombia, and later specialized in Orthopedics and Traumatology at Universidad El Bosque. I completed a subspecialty in sports injuries and arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder and knee at Universidad Javeriana – Centro Médico Imbanaco in Cali.

Since 2011, I have dedicated my medical practice to the advanced treatment of joint injuries, including complex reconstructions and minimally invasive procedures using arthroscopy. My international training includes advanced courses at world-renowned centers such as the San Diego Shoulder Institute, ConMed Linvatec Center in Florida, and Smith & Nephew training programs in the U.S. and Chile, among others.

With over 20 years of clinical and surgical experience, I specialize in managing multi-ligament injuries, revision surgeries after failed procedures, and post-operative rehabilitation guided by ultrasound. I currently practice as an orthopedic surgeon at several top-tier medical institutions in Cali, including Clínica de Occidente, Clínica Imbanaco, and Clínica Cristo Rey.

I am an active member of leading national and international scientific organizations such as ISAKOS and ACCART, and have also served as a speaker at numerous conferences. My work has contributed to various research publications focused on innovative surgical techniques in orthopedics.

My goal is to provide each patient with comprehensive, personalized care based on the highest level of scientic evidence, ensuring a safe and full functional recovery.
